playing hooky

i will go to denver on thursday instead of working on friday.

so i must write today. it's often difficult to retain anonimity o n this thing. especially when my keyboard or internt or both aren't cooperating. instead i will be the autonomous intern. sort of what certain regions in spain and the balkans are looking for. i'll be the kosovo of zingmagazine, or the cataluna., if you will.

today i did ZingRecs(TM). this eventually led to a conversation w/ anna about capitalization, and why can't people understand that zingmagazine is zingmagazine, not Zingmagazine nor Zzing magazine, and certainly not Zing Magazine. it's lower-case for a reason, damn it. does not one appreciate the deliberation behead this lower-case title? the world may never know.

on the topic of words that start w/ "capitali," i had a particularly strange dream last night. i had to take pills to not become a zombie and remain a capitalist. i failed to take these pills, and so i became an anti-capitalist zombie. sort of an oxymoron, isn't it? well, anyway, i woke up doing my best zombie impression and simulatneously making a noise as though horror-striken. what weirdness.
